The Maraba is designed in an extra large woven basket, handmade by artisans in Gitarama, Rwanda. Here women grow their own sisal plants, extract the fibers, then hand-dye and weave them into beautiful works of art.
Sisal is woven around sweetgrass, a fragrant grass with subtle sweetness. This size basket takes 3 days to weave and comes with a string attached to the back for optional wall hanging. This bowl is also great as a centerpiece on a table or use of display in a kitchen island or counter.
